Antoine Proulx and Thomas Laplante Picked in 2024 QMJHL Draft

We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible achievements of two dedicated and talented goalies, Antoine Proulx and Thomas Laplante. Both have demonstrated exceptional perseverance, maturity, and effort, culminating in their selection in the 2024 QMJHL Draft in Moncton.

Antoine Proulx: A Story of Resilience and Excellence

Antoine Proulx's journey to being the first goalie drafted in the QMJHL 2024 Draft is a testament to his unwavering determination. Despite facing the setback of being cut from his local M18AAA team, Antoine never let this discourage him. Instead, he joined the Chevaliers de Lévis and showcased his incredible skills and composure. His outstanding performance earned him the title of Best Goalie of the Year, boasting the best GAA and save percentage in the league. Antoine’s perseverance and maturity were instrumental in leading his team to a strong fourth-place finish in the season.

Drafted by the Titans of Acadie-Bathurst, Antoine's hard work and dedication have truly paid off. We are immensely proud of his accomplishments and look forward to seeing him continue to excel.

Thomas Laplante: From Backyard Dreams to QMJHL

Thomas Laplante’s journey with Paramount Hockey has been equally inspiring. Starting from training in his backyard with coach Alex, Thomas has consistently demonstrated hard work and resilience. His maturity shone brightly during the Las Vegas experience a few years ago, where he emerged as a natural leader among his peers.

After a challenging year in Division 2 for his school, Thomas made a significant leap to M17 AAA (Espoir). His dedication and leadership qualities have now been recognized with his selection by the Halifax Mooseheads in the 2024 QMJHL Draft. We are incredibly proud to see Thomas join such a prestigious organization and are excited for his future.

Looking Ahead: Mentorship and Future Success

Both Antoine Proulx and Thomas Laplante will be preparing for their next seasons at our Mentorship Camp in Laval. This will be an invaluable opportunity for them to hone their skills further and continue their development as top-tier goalies.

Their journeys are a powerful reminder that perseverance, hard work, and dedication can overcome any obstacle. At Paramount Hockey, we are honored to have been a part of their development and are excited to support them as they take the next steps in their careers.

Congratulations, Antoine and Thomas! Your hard work and achievements inspire us all. Keep pushing forward, and we are confident that your future holds even greater successes.
