On June 6–7, several goaltenders saw their years of hard work pay off at the 2025 QMJHL Draft held in Québec City.
Getting drafted is more than just having your name called — it’s the result of years of sacrifice, discipline, and relentless effort both on and off the ice, in school, and at home.
But not being drafted is not the end of the road. There’s a limited number of spots — especially for goalies. Next come the camp invites, and even if you don’t get one, it’s not over. There’s always something positive to take away from every step, no matter how it plays out. What matters most is having a plan and staying committed to it.
Nikola Antonacci – 3rd Round, 54th Overall – Québec Remparts
Nikola is an explosive, fearless goaltender — the 3rd goalie selected in the 2025 draft. We had the chance to work with him during his time with the Conquérants AAA, as well as in private sessions. He shows up hungry at every practice, always wanting more. His determination to become the best is unmatched. Good luck in Québec, Nik — we’re proud of you!
Antoine Chidiac – 7th Round, 121st Overall – Victoriaville Tigres
We’ve known Antoine since his Novice days with the Express de Laval. He and his family made countless sacrifices to support his development and make sure he always had fun. We trained him in our goalie program with the Diabolos, where he stood out. After multiple AAA seasons, he played M18 AAA to gain experience. We’re excited to help you prep for the next level this summer!
Émile Marchand – 12th Round, 218th Overall – Rimouski Océanic
What a story! We’ve experienced every emotion with Émile since his time with the Conquérants. Over the past few years, he’s grown tremendously in maturity. With the help of coach Alex during his M17 AAA season, Émile focused on development, performance, and mastering the small details that matter. We’re proud of you and can’t wait to have you back at our Mentorship Camp at Place Bell this summer!
Zachary Poitras – 12th Round, 219th Overall – Sherbrooke Phoenix
Zachary is a hardworking, positive goalie we’ve only heard great things about. Our coach Gabriel Delage worked with him this year with the Harfangs du Triolet M17. Now, our coach Olivier will continue working with him as part of the Sherbrooke Phoenix in the QMJHL. Congrats on being drafted by your hometown team — we’re excited to support your journey!
To All the Other Goalies:
Keep grinding. Stick to your plan. Whether it’s a setback or a win — stay consistent, stay focused.
See you this summer!
