Congratulations to goalie Jordyn Verbeek, who will represent Team Canada at the FISU World University Winter Games in Torino from January 13-23! This is an incredible accomplishment, and we couldn’t be more proud.
We’ve had the privilege of working with Jordy since her very first day at Concordia, and it’s been nothing short of amazing to watch her journey. She’s the perfect example of what it means to push beyond limits, always go the extra mile, put the team first, and trust the process. Through injuries, being the third goalie, moving up to backup, and then stepping into the spotlight as the number one goalie to lead her team to playoff and national victories, Jordy has shown unwavering resilience and dedication.
She embodies everything it takes to succeed not just in sports, but in life—hard work, perseverance, and a team-first attitude. We’re so excited to see her representing Team Canada on this incredible stage, and we can’t wait to watch her shine in the Hockey Canada jersey.
