OWe are delighted to announce that Maël Saint-Hilaire will be continuing his studies at North Yarmouth Academy in Maine. This milestone marks the culmination of nearly three years of intense effort and unwavering determination in the U.S. admissions process.
A Journey Fraught with Challenges
Last year, despite promising offers, things did not go as planned for Maël. Instead of being discouraged by these setbacks, he chose to redouble his efforts. This young athlete put all his energy into working tirelessly, both on and off the ice, to improve his game and technique.
Hard Work and Determination
Maël has shown exemplary determination. His participation in our Las Vegas camp at a very young age revealed an impressive maturity despite his age. His commitment to our Prep, Midget AAA, and NCAA groups within Perfo8 for his summer preparation highlights his unwavering will to constantly improve.
Academic and Athletic Excellence
In addition to his athletic achievements, Maël also excels academically. He is among the top students at Collège Saint-Sacrement, successfully balancing his studies with his athletic performances, notably with the NPU Rebels de l'Ouest program, where he played last season at the U16 level.
Maël has always known how to focus his energy on what he could control and improve. His dedication, determination, great perseverance, and resilience are qualities that have brought him to where he is today.
A Promising Future
At North Yarmouth Academy, Maël will be part of the prep hockey and cross-country teams, continuing his dream of combining academic and athletic excellence. Inspired by Laurent Duvernay-Tardif for a long time, he aims to follow in the footsteps of this role model at the university and athletic levels.
We are extremely proud of Maël and eagerly anticipate the great things he will accomplish at North Yarmouth Academy and beyond. His journey is an inspiring testament to what determination and hard work can achieve.
