Jacob Brochu made Sherbrooke history on September 28th during the Phoenix's thrilling shootout victory over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. The intense game, which ended 3-2 for Sherbrooke, showcased Brochu at his best.
After two relatively quiet periods, Brochu stepped up in the third, making 16 crucial saves to keep his team in the game. He then stopped all 4 shots from the Huskies in overtime, pushing the match into a historic shootout.
What truly stood out was Brochu's incredible performance during the shootout. Out of the 15 shots he faced, he stopped 14, setting a new record.
Since the start of the season, Jacob Brochu has shown tremendous perseverance. He's been working hard with his goalie coach, Olivier Gervais, to refine his game plan and unlock his full potential.
