Head coach - Founder
Olivier Gervais
Olivier, the founder of Paramount Hockey, brings a coaching style centered on fun, continuous learning, perseverance, assistance, time dedication, and a strong work ethic.
About Olivier
Olivier’s coaching journey began in his own backyard when he mentored a fellow coach, Alex, at the early age of 12. By 14, he was already coaching at a goalie school in Laval, working with older kids and even adults. As the years passed, he continued his relentless pursuit of knowledge, collaborating with various top coaches and schools. In 2015, Olivier ventured to Finland to immerse himself in different techniques, a transformative experience that reshaped his coaching philosophy. He adopted a more open-minded approach, focusing on the holistic development of athletes both on and off the ice. Over the years, he honed his coaching style, infusing it with fun and athleticism while emphasizing a deeper understanding of the game for better decision-making.
While juggling his playing career, Olivier pursued business education and founded Paramount Hockey initially as a comprehensive website gathering a wealth of hockey information. However, when he eventually parted ways with the hockey school he had been associated with, he redirected Paramount Hockey’s focus solely on goalie development. During this transformation, he pursued a business degree at the university and had the privilege of learning from various mentors.
Olivier’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to initiate several ventures, including the widely popular Make Your Move Shootout tournament, the mobile platform Living Sisu, and various other projects.”
